It's perfect, just perfect.

Tuomas Holopainen is in my opinion the greatest song writer of all time. He has this magical gift of knowing how to turn escapism into melodies and words. No one compares to him. I relate so much to his thoughts of reality, the only difference is that he can express it so much better than me. So his music easily becomes an obsession for those who wants to escape reality. He takes inspiration a bit further than most artists. He once said in a documentary that he doesn't just look at a nice picture with a person sitting on a bridge; he jumps in there and sits on the bridge himself.

While his band Nightwish have been taking a break from touring Tuomas has been working on his solo project. Which is 'Music Inspired By The Life And Times Of Scrooge'. Those of you who are fans of Tuomas knows that he adores Walt Disney, cartoons and other stories that reminds him of his childhood. It runs through every song that he has ever written. I want to order the book about Scrooge McDuck (in Swedish known as Joakim Von Anka) because even though I was a huge fan of Donald Duck and his whole family as a child, I haven't read this book. It's sold out now pretty much everywhere that I've looked, but I pre-ordered both the signed single, and CD a couple of weeks ago. Don Rosa - the writer and illustrator of the book - has done all of the art work for the music. Seeing Tuomas working side by side with one of his biggest inspirations has been pretty spectacular. Today the first song was released in the form of a gorgeous music video.

And it's perfect, just perfect.
